1949 | Founded as Higashiyama Densen K.K. in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture for manufacturing of paper-wrapped wire for fan motors and special instrument transformers. |

1959 | Built a new plant in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture and commenced in-house processing of paper covering, motor winding, and insulator/lead wire processing for copper wire. |
1973 | Spun off the Electronic Component Department of the Higashiyama Densen K.K. into Higashiyama Denzai K.K. in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture. |
1985 | Spun off the Production Engineering Department of the Higashiyama Densen K.K. into Higashiyama Shin Gijutsu K.K. in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture. |
1991 | Renamed Higashiyama Densen K.K. as E-Tech K.K., and Higashiyama Denzai K.K. as Higashiyama Film K.K. |
1993 | Renovated the clean room for film production to reinforce operations of the printing and electronics departments. Enhanced cutting machines to reinforce the film processing department for the printing industry. |
1995 | Founded HIGASHIYAMA FILM SINGAPORE in Singapore, and 東山菲爾姆薄膜(上海)有限公司 in Shanghai, China. |
1996 | Dissolved and liquidated Higashiyama Shin Gijutsu K.K. |
1997 | Renamed E-Tech K.K. as Higashiyama Film Co., Ltd. and relocated the head office to Ena, Gifu. Build a new plant equipped with a clean room and coating lines in Ena Techno Park in Ena, Gifu. |
2001 | Merged Higashiyama Film K.K. (former Higashiayam Denzai K.K.) into Higashiyama Film Co., Ltd (former E-Tech K.K.) and relocated the head office to Moriyama-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture. Completed the second Ena plant. Added the second coating machine. |
2003 | Sold the 100% shares of HIGASHIYAMA FILM SINGAPORE. |
2004 | The first and second Ena plants and the sales promotion department acquired the ISO9001:2000 certification on functional plastic films. Added the third coating machine and a dedicated test machine. |
2005 | The Nagoya Plant and the second Ena plant slitter group acquired the ISO9001:2000 certification on manufacturing of industrial films (for electric insulation and imaging applications, etc.) and harness products (for compressors). Founded Hiyashiyama (Shanghai) Function Film Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China to expand the printing material business (operations commended in July 2006). |
2006 | Obtained a commercial land lease in Mizunami Creation Park in Mizunami, Gifu and commenced the construction of the Mizunami Plant. |
2007 | Completed the Mizunami Plant. Added the fourth coating machine (the first machine for Mizunami Plant). Enlisted on the JASDAQ exchange. |
2010 | Became a subsidiary of HF Holdings Inc. through TOB. (June) |
2011 | Went private through MBO. (December) |
2012 | Added the fifth coating machine in Mizunami Plant. |
2013 | Founded the Korea branch (sales site). |
2014 | Founded the Taiwan branch (sales site). |
2014 | Became a consolidated subsidiary of Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. |
2018 | Assigned the insulator processing business. Relocated the head office to Nakamura-ku, Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture. Built the P.D.Lab.(Processing Development Laboratory)building in Mizunami Plant. |
2019 | Market the 70th anniversary. Founded HIGASHIYAMA (ShangHai) FILM CO., LTD. We acquired JISQ14001 Environmental Management System regarding R&M of optical plastic film at Mizunami and Ena Plants. (Registered date 2019.7.18) |
2021 | Completed The R & D building (team HYNT Lab)in Mizunami Plant. |
